Hanshi Shimabukuro Visit's Dubai for Seminar and International Board Meeting

Hanshi Shimabukuro, Kyoshi Measara and Renshi Berto will visit Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 7 - 14, for training and the Senior Executive Board Meeting. The event was a great success. Click here to read a letter highlighting the events from Sensei Iqbal.

Okinawa Dento Karate-do Shinkokai

The four major Karate Organizations in Okinawa have unified under the newly formed Okinawa Dento Karate-do Shinkokai. Hanshi Shimabukuro has been named as one of the Board of Directors representing the Okinawa Karate-do Rengokai in this organization. There are six Board of Directors from each of the four major Karate Organizations sitting on the board. The purpose of this new organization is to promote Traditional Okinawan Karate-Do.

The United States Annual training camp was held in Cummings Georgia February 15 - 17. Training was sponsored by Kyoshi Dan Smith and the Coal Mountain Dojo and coordinated by Renshi Dave Roth. Following the Training was the Hall of Fame Awards Banquet and the first inductees to the United States Seibukan Hall of Fame were Kyoshi Jeff Nagata, Sensei Michael Clark and Sensei Ronnie Lott. Five United States Seibukan Senior Instructors were also named during the banquet, Renshi Warren Berto, , Renshi Dave Roth, Shihan Biljac Burnsides, Sensei Keith Parker, and Sensei Chris Schultz.
